The New Green
Hi there!
|
Well, this ad gives me the distinct impression that “Green” has come of age! I don’t know whether you’ve seen this (below) before or not, but this is definitely NOT your standard ad for another standard green machine.* I bet you never saw such a classy advertisement for a green vehicle before!
BTW, it’s a flex-fuelled concept vehicle. The “green” concepts are:
- flex-fuel, turbocharged (four turbos to be exact) engine
- recyclable aluminum door panels (highly polished, of course)
- lightweight carbon fibre body panels
- almost complete wood and leather interior – virtually 100% biodegradable
but all that doesn’t detract from the snob appeal of the Bugatti Galibier and its 8.0 liter V-16 turbocharged engine that (in straight gasoline form) produces 1000+ hp in the Bugatti Veyron and puts the Galibier’s top speed well over 200 mph (320 kph). And costs over $1 million. Snob appeal Volkswagen-style.
* – Back in the bad old days, I rallyed with my 1965 Ford Mustang – dark metallic green – and we called ourselves the “Ivy Green Rallye Team”. Deja vue? Well, not really. :-)
Dream on! :-D
Thanks for lookin’ in!
