The New Green

Hi there!

Please note: If you buy a product from Amazon UK as a result of clicking on the above advertisement, Sue & Craig Websites should receive a commission from Amazon UK, based on the amount you pay before taxes and transportation, and the type of article you buy.

Well, this ad gives me the distinct impression that “Green” has come of age! I don’t know whether you’ve seen this (below) before or not, but this is definitely NOT your standard ad for another standard green machine.* I bet you never saw such a classy advertisement for a green vehicle before!

BTW, it’s a flex-fuelled concept vehicle. The “green” concepts are:

  • flex-fuel, turbocharged (four turbos to be exact) engine
  • recyclable aluminum door panels (highly polished, of course)
  • lightweight carbon fibre body panels
  • almost complete wood and leather interior – virtually 100% biodegradable

but all that doesn’t detract from the snob appeal of the Bugatti Galibier and its 8.0 liter V-16 turbocharged engine that (in straight gasoline form) produces 1000+ hp in the Bugatti Veyron and puts the Galibier’s top speed well over 200 mph (320 kph). And costs over $1 million. Snob appeal Volkswagen-style.

* – Back in the bad old days, I rallyed with my 1965 Ford Mustang – dark metallic green – and we called ourselves the “Ivy Green Rallye Team”. Deja vue? Well, not really. :-)

Dream on! :-D

Thanks for lookin’ in!
